Interior painting
Interior painting changes how a house feels, but the result depends on preparation. We repair dents, cracks and nail pops, sand, caulk and prime where needed, then apply paint suited to the room.
- Walls and ceilings, including texture matching on repairs
- Trim, baseboards, doors and window casings
- Cabinets and built-ins, with proper prep for a durable finish
- Accent walls and color transitions between rooms
- Paint after remodeling: drywall, patching and new construction finishes
Exterior painting
Exterior paint fights sun, rain and temperature swings. In Southern California, UV damage is the biggest enemy, fading and breaking down finishes, especially on south- and west-facing walls.
- Stucco: crack repair, patching and coating for a uniform look
- Wood siding, fascia, eaves, doors and trim: scraping, sanding, priming and sealing
- Masonry and block: cleaning and appropriate coatings
- Metal railings, gates and fences: rust treatment and protective paint
- Pressure washing and prep so paint bonds instead of peeling
Preparation is most of the job
Peeling paint almost always traces back to surface prep: dirt, moisture, loose old paint or skipped primer. A thorough prep takes time, which is why quotes that look cheap often skip it.
Older homes and lead paint
Homes built before 1978 may contain lead-based paint. Federal rules require lead-safe work practices when paint is disturbed in older housing, which affects sanding, scraping and cleanup. If your home is that old, tell us up front so the plan accounts for it.
Choosing paint and sheen
- Flat or matte: hides wall imperfections, best for ceilings and low-traffic rooms.
- Eggshell or satin: easier to clean, a common choice for living areas and bedrooms.
- Semi-gloss: durable for trim, doors, kitchens and bathrooms.
- Exterior formulations: choose for UV and moisture resistance, not just color.
Painting as part of larger projects
Painting is the last stage of most remodels, additions and ADUs, and because we coordinate the whole project, color decisions and schedules fit into the build instead of being an afterthought.
